Ina-Garten

Ina Garten is a popular American writer of cook books for a number of decades. Ina is also the Emmy-winning host of Food Networks longest running show Barefoot Contessa that began in 2002. Ina began to write Nuclear energy and policy documents for the White House. Although she found her job intellectually stimulating initially eventually she dropped interest and bought a tiny specialty store called Barefoot Contessa. Before selling the business it took her 18 years building it into an extremely successful business. Then, a number of books were released and she also wrote columns for magazines. Her Food Network TV show also made its debut, and was a huge hit. She sells many items, from the ingredients needed for cooking, to kitchenware and storage. Ina has never been to any cooking school, nor employed in a restaurant, and is completely self-taught. Her relaxed approach to entertaining and her easy culinary style is widely known. She is well-known for her simple recipes such as Skillet of Roasted Lemon Chicken Macaroni and Cheese made with beef Bourguignon, and the Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts.
