Zoe-perry

Perry was born to Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). The character Jackie Harris was played by her mom in both of her two appearances on Roseanne. Her parents, however, were not keen to let her take on acting roles until she was older and worried about the consequences of stress. Perry she was shy for acting in school, began to perform in the theater at Northwestern University because she wanted to meet new people. Perry following her graduation from Boston University moved to New York in search of acting roles on television. Perry was able to land small roles on TV shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, homesickness drove her to California to find theater work. Perry was a part of Broadway in The Other Place with her mother in the year 2013. The show featured their father Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in 2015 at The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry played a lead role in nine episodes of the ABC drama The Family. Perry played a prominent role in the ABC drama about politics Scandal, starring her dad. That same year she played a young character based on Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory), portraying her mother as a young version. The part was offered by audition despite the fact that she is a relative to the role.
